Quarter Final No.3

Australia v Pakistan
Pakistan 213 a.o. (Hazelwood 4/35) LOSE TO Australia 216/4 (Smith 65, Watson 64*)
Australia won by 6 wickets

A shoddy all round display from Pakistan ensured that Australia booked their semi-final match against India. In the end it was done with ease but Wahab Riaz delivered one of the most fearsome spells by a non-Australian bowler in Australia. The speed, guile and direction of the bouncer was causing plenty of drama. He suprised Clarke and Warner in his first spell. Then typical Pakistan fielding led to drop catches, which then let Watson and Maxwell off and they made them pay vastly.

Shahid Afridi and Misbah Ul Haq leave the ODI stage with a disappointing loss but Misbah will be glad the bails stayed on in the 6th over when he was on nought.
